Your own Peak District hall and barn for 40
Hamps Hall and Barn is an exclusive-use group venue on the southern edge of the Peak District, near Waterhouses in Staffordshire. Two connected stone buildings sleep 40 in 18 bedrooms, with a dining room for up to 64, two kitchens, a games room and a private field next door.
It’s a favourite for wedding receptions, hen parties, stag dos, birthdays and family reunions and company retreats.

Footpaths lead from the house into the Hamps and Manifold valleys, and the flat, traffic-free Manifold Track starts in nearby Waterhouses.
Walk or cycle to Thor’s Cave, cross the Dovedale stepping stones or spend a day at Alton Towers, all close by.
Our story
A farmhouse with 300 years of history
Hamps Hall began life as Field House, a farmhouse first recorded in 1733. It grew into an 80-acre farm, survived a fire in 1900 and watched the Manifold Light Railway being built in the valley below.
Since 2006 we’ve restored the original stone buildings into Hamps Hall and Hamps Barn.

We don’t hold a wedding licence, so you marry at a local church or register office first, then celebrate here with your reception. See wedding receptions.
Is there a hot tub?
Yes, two five-person hot tubs in the Hamps Barn garden. Children under 15 can’t use them.
Can we bring dogs?
Yes, dogs are welcome for £40 per dog.
Can we book half the house?
Yes. Hamps Hall and Hamps Barn each sleep 20 and can be booked separately.
