Bring the whole family together under one roof this Christmas. Hamps Hall and Barn sleeps 40 in 18 bedrooms, so grandparents, cousins and friends can all stay for the festive week.
Cook Christmas dinner across two big kitchens, then sit down together in the dining room. Afterwards, it’s board games by the fire in the Hall, a table tennis tournament in the games room or a soak in the hot tubs under the stars.
On Boxing Day, walk off the turkey along the Manifold Valley to Thor’s Cave, straight from the door.

The Hall has a library with a fireplace for quiet afternoons, while the 50-foot barn is perfect for a Christmas party with the house sound system.

There’s usually a Christmas tree up over the festive period. Just check with us when you book, and feel free to bring your own decorations too.
How many people can we fit around the Christmas dinner table?
The main dining room seats up to 64, so the whole family can sit down together. There’s also a second dining room in the Hall for 20.
Can we cook Christmas dinner ourselves?
Yes. There are two fully equipped kitchens with double ovens and large fridge-freezers, so cooking for 40 is easy. Or bring in a caterer.
Where can we buy food and supplies?
There’s a village shop about a mile away, and supermarkets in Ashbourne and Leek, both around 20 minutes’ drive. Order a supermarket delivery for your arrival day if you can.
Can we bring our dog for Christmas?
Yes, dogs are welcome for £40 per dog, with footpaths straight from the door for Boxing Day walks.
Are the hot tubs open in winter?
Yes. The two hot tubs run all year round and heat up to 38°C. Children under 15 can’t use them.
