No queues, no taxis and no last orders. At Hamps Hall and Barn, you have a whole Peak District house to yourselves for New Year’s Eve.
Start with a long dinner in the dining room, then move to the 50-foot barn for the countdown, a DJ on the house sound system and dancing into the small hours. Slip out to the hot tubs for a midnight toast under the stars.
On New Year’s Day, blow away the cobwebs on a walk along the Manifold Valley, then come back for a lazy afternoon of games and leftovers.

New Year’s Eve FAQs
How many people can stay for New Year’s Eve?
Hamps Hall and Barn sleeps 40 in 18 bedrooms (6 doubles, 9 twins, 2 triples and a quad), and the dining room seats up to 64.
Can we have a party and a DJ?
Yes. The 50-foot barn has its own sound system for DJs and playlists. Amplified music is only allowed inside the barn, and external speakers aren’t allowed.
Can friends join us just for the party?
Yes. Day guests are welcome at £25 per person, and they need to leave by midnight, so for New Year it’s best to have everyone staying over.
Are fireworks allowed?
No. Fireworks, balloons and sky lanterns aren’t allowed at Hamps Hall and Barn.
Can we arrange catering or activities?
Yes. My Event Concierge can arrange catering, casino nights, murder mysteries and more at the house. See our activities page.
Are the hot tubs available in winter?
Yes. The two hot tubs run all year, so you can see in the New Year with a soak under the stars. Children under 15 can’t use them.
