Gather the whole hen under one roof. Hamps Hall and Barn is a 17th-century farmhouse and stone barn on the southern edge of the Peak District, with space for up to 40 and nobody else around.
Start with fizz in the hot tubs, dress up for a long dinner together in the dining room, then dance the night away in the 50-foot barn on the house sound system. Recover the next day with a lazy brunch, a walk through the Manifold Valley or a pamper session brought to the house.
Everything is self-catering, so you can cook together, bring in a private chef or order takeaways, and bring your own drinks at shop prices.

Is there a minimum age for hen groups?
Yes. Groups need to be aged 30 or over, unless it’s a multi-generational family gathering.
How many people can stay at Hamps Hall and Barn for a hen party?
Hamps Hall and Barn sleeps 40 guests across 18 bedrooms (6 doubles, 9 twins, 2 triples and a quad), with 12 bath and shower rooms. The main dining room seats up to 64.
Does the hen house have a hot tub?
Yes, there are two five-person hot tubs in the Hamps Barn garden. If other guests stayed the night before, they can take a few hours to refill and heat up after you arrive. Children under 15 can’t use the hot tubs.
Can we have a DJ or play our own music?
Yes. The barn has its own sound system that DJs and phones connect to. Amplified music is only allowed inside the barn, and external speakers aren’t allowed.
Can extra friends join us for the evening?
Yes. Day guests are welcome at £25 per person, and they need to leave by midnight.
Can we have the hen and stag at the same time?
Yes. Hamps Hall and Hamps Barn are connected but each has its own living space, so it works brilliantly for a joint sten weekend with the hens and stags staying separately. See our stag do page.
How easy is it to get to?
Stoke-on-Trent station is about 30 minutes’ drive, with trains to London Euston in around 90 minutes. Manchester, Derby, Sheffield and Birmingham are all within about 90 minutes by car.
