We had the most amazing Christmas at Hamp hall my family , my parents, my siblings and all their families even the dogs. We couldn't fault it at all it's cozy , clean , everything you could possibly need. They even left gift bags of goodies out for us. We would have booked straight away for next year if it wasn't already taken 😭 Posted on Monique Edvardsen Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hamps Barn is an absolutely charming place to stay. The setting is peaceful in the Peaks, the barn itself is beautifully maintained and has lovely decorations. We had a wonderful stay for an 80th birthday party! Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway. Posted on Huey RX8 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Stayed in the Barn and what a great space and so many bedrooms. Games room with long tables for large group dinning and an outside area with optional hot tub. BBQ with large pub style tables for all the family.
Big DVD collection and ability to hook up your phone to the sound system.

Great venue for a get-together or a celebration. Really well equipped kitchens, huge communal dining spaces, lovely party room with plenty of sofa space for everyone.... Bedrooms are comfortable and clean, and the bathrooms in the old house have been updated since last year. This is our 3rd year at Hamps Hall and we love it!! Posted on Emily Winter Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We stayed here recently for a stag / hen do and it was absolutely fantastic! We had such a brilliant time, the house was perfect. There were 35 of us and there was plenty of space, the hot tubs were fantastic & communication with the hosts was quick and responsive. Being in this area of the Peak District was lovely as well - some lovely pubs to walk to. Would highly recommend for your next wedding or party venue!! The venue was perfect for a large group with excellent facilities, large lounge and dining rooms, comfortable bedrooms, ideally suited for internal and external games, good pub less than half a mile walk away, and excellent location for walks in the Peak District. Would also highly recommend the Dinner Party Company who prepared, cooked, served(and cleared up) a fantastic 3 course dinner on site on the Saturday evening.
Weddings at Hamps Hall and Barn
Hamps Hall & Barn makes a splendid Peak District wedding reception venue. Celebrate your wedding in the quintessential British countryside and have a blast in the company of your loved ones. Tucked away in stunning Peak District, you will find magical backdrops for photos and lots of space for your big day. This historic house features great facilities that will ensure you and your guests will have a lovely stay.
Even though this Peak District wedding venue does not come with a wedding license, there are a number of places in the area where you can hold your ceremony including a beautiful church. Follow this with a reception party in the house. You can choose to do an outdoor alfresco party in the beautiful grounds or use the 50-foot long reception room which is perfect for parties. There is also a BBQ area. 40 of your guests can stay overnight and up to 80 extra day guests are welcome (£25 each, and can stay until Midnight). Furthermore, the dining area can easily seat 60 guests, however, this must be requested in advance as it is usually arranged for 48 guests.
If you wish you can use the field to put up a marque (if so please vacate it by midnight), and no DJ’s, Bands or Amplified music are allowed in the marquee. This would have to be in the Hamps Barn main room via our own sound system.
Bespoke Wedding Reception in the Peak District
Hire a professional caterer to take care of your gourmet meals or choose to prepare your own meals by hiring a self-catered stay. The choice is yours! Many of our couples decide to bring in a caterer for a couple of nights and self-cater on other nights. Best part? We do not charge corkage fees!
Choose to stay an entire week or just a weekend. No matter your decision, we’re sure hiring a large house like this will save you some cash over hiring a traditional wedding venue. You will also be able to stretch the party and fun! There is plenty of parking for all of your guests. Our spacious gardens will not only enable you to set up a big marquee but also to organise fun activities. Your guests will be entertained with our on-site games room with table tennis and table football. If you need to keep the kids occupied, do not worry we assure you that they will fall in love with the Video Game snug.
And don’t forget to get a photographer who will document your memories! If you’re looking for some lovely photographers familiar with the venue, you can reach out to Simon Atkins, Paul Jarrett, or Lisa Wildgoose, depending on the photography style you like!
