Stayed here for a family staycation with 3 generations… and we had the best time! It was such a scenic place and the Barn was so comfortable to stay in. Great big place and set up for parties. Rooms not a high standard and the plumbing/pipework needs updating as the showers and toilets(flushing) were poor. Bit of a renovation required

Large family parties etc this place is amazing. Local catering vans to supply Breakfast , dinner were excellant. A vast property with so many areas for many differant age groups to chill without annoying each other.
The only thing i would say is used the lane up to the property from the Leak side. The lane from the other side is very narrow with all sorts scraping your car.

Finding a house in the Peak District large enough to accommodate 30 blokes for a stag party felt like an almost impossible task, but Hamps Hall and Barn proved to be THE perfect venue.

There are plenty of beds (mostly singles), loads of fridge space, and a large dining hall that easily catered for our group. The range of activities and facilities is outstanding, including two hot tubs, a BBQ, table tennis, table football, video games, DVDs, and a fantastic sound system.

The location also strikes the ideal balance between being secluded and convenient. It feels pleasantly isolated, yet it's still within easy reach of a local shop, pubs, and the beautiful walk through Manifold Valley to Thor's Cave.

We stayed at Hamps Hall & Barn with our extended family in June 2026. Everything was amazing. The location is beautiful, surrounded by peaceful countryside and with easy access to local walks. It feels secluded and private, but it's close to supermarkets and any other amenities you could need.

Hamps Hall & Barn itself has everything you could ever need to host 40 people. There are two really well stocked kitchens, loads of sofas and places to chill out, pool and ping-pong table, a lovely garden with picnic benches and of course the two hot tubs!! All the rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. The majority are twin rooms which makes it flexible for hosting different groups. It even had an accessible bathroom on the ground floor which was great for our nan. We had a fantastic time together.

We would also highly recommend booking through PartyHouses.com. Chris and his team, particularly Melissa, were so responsive to emails and accommodated all of our requests with no issues.

We found Hamps Hall and Barn when trying to organise a 35 man stag do. What a blessing this place was. All the facilities were spot on, amazing grounds, very secluded but still easy walking distance to a pub. The room arrangements were the real gem, so many options of twins / doubles / triples / quad - so much flexibility for a big group. Comms from the booking team was amazing, and the cleaning team were really kind ot let us get in before check in to put stuff in fridges. One note - we organised a coach to take us on a bit of an excursion, the coaches can't access the road up to the barn so it's a 10 minute walk to the nearest meeting point. We stayed at Hamps Hall and Barn for 3 nights with all our closest friends and family for our wedding, the venue was perfect, the facilities were amazing and Chris was extremely helpful in the weeks and months leading up to it answering all my questions extremely efficiently. All the guests absolutely loved it and with had an amazing wedding. Would highly recommend Hamps Hall and Barn
