A Field for Marquees & Celebrations


Did you know that Hamps Hall and Barn features an expansive field, perfect for all manner of outdoor celebrations and activities? And the best part is that it’s free to use! The field is an ideal setting for everything from team-building activities to family football tournaments. The space also works wonderfully for setting up a marquee, which is a great option for summer weddings and corporate functions, providing plenty of space to gather all your guests. Keep in mind that quad biking, fireworks, balloons, and any other activities that may cause damage to the field are strictly prohibited. However, there are many things you can do with the space, from sports matches and yoga classes to egg and spoon races and games of tug of war. The field is not entirely level, but it has been successfully used in the past for everything from beautiful wedding ceremonies to thrilling outdoor activities. What will you do with the space?  

Setting Up Marquees:

Space: The field at Hamps Hall and Barn is an excellent space for setting up a marquee. Many past guests have made use of this option, creating some truly magnificent spaces to entertain their guests. 
 
Music: Please keep in mind that amplified music is strictly prohibited outdoors at Hamps Hall and Barn. Acoustic music (eg, harpists, string quartets, and acoustic guitars) is permitted until 6 pm. Aplified music is only permitted in the dining room.
 
Guests: Any day guests are required to leave the venue by midnight at the latest. Please note that there is a fee of £20 per day guests.
 
Set Up & Take Down: If you plan to use a marquee, we must be informed at least 1 month in advance so we can cut the grass, and  it must be set up and taken down during check-in and check-out times.
