A wedding weekend with everyone under one roof
Weekend weddings at Hamps Hall and Barn give you time with the people you love. Your closest 40 guests stay with you in 18 bedrooms across the hall and barn, so there are no taxis to book at midnight and no one heading home early.
Book a weekend and Sunday night is free, so the celebrations can roll on into a lazy Sunday before a Monday morning departure.
The barn dining room seats 48 for a Friday welcome dinner, and the courtyard, gardens and field give everyone room to spread out between the big moments.

How it works
How a weekend wedding at Hamps works
- Reception only: Hamps Hall and Barn doesn’t hold a wedding licence, so you marry at a local church or register office first. The village church is about a 10-minute walk away.
- Up to 40 guests stay over in 18 bedrooms (6 doubles, 9 twins, 2 triples and a quad)
- Up to 80 day guests can join you at £25 per person, for 120 guests in total. Day guests leave by midnight.
- Marquees are welcome in the private field. Let us know at least a month ahead so we can cut the grass, and put it up and take it down within your check-in and check-out times.
- Music: DJs and bands play inside the barn through our in-house sound system (no external speakers). Acoustic music, like a harpist or string quartet, is welcome outside until 8pm.
- Self-catering with no corkage, so you choose your own caterer, bar, cake maker, florist and photographer
- Not allowed: fireworks, sky lanterns and balloons in the field
- Need more beds? Our converted barn Merrymeet, nearby, sleeps another 16
