Large group accommodation in the Peak District is hard to find. Hamps Hall and Barn sleeps 40 under one roof, so family reunions, friends’ weekends, clubs, choirs and sports teams can all stay together.
The house is made up of Hamps Hall and Hamps Barn, two connected buildings that each sleep 20, with their own kitchens and living spaces. Come together in the 64-seat dining room and the 50-foot barn, then spread out into the library, games room and gardens.

What are the bedrooms like?
There are 6 doubles, 9 twins, 2 triples and a quad, giving 34 individual beds, so it works for friends, families and teams who don’t want to share a bed. There are 12 bath and shower rooms.
Can we rent half the house for a smaller group?
Yes. Hamps Hall and Hamps Barn can each be booked separately for up to 20 guests. See Hamps Hall and Hamps Barn.
Can everyone eat together?
Yes. The main dining room seats up to 64, and there’s a second dining room for 20 in the Hall, plus two fully equipped kitchens.
Where is Hamps Hall and Barn?
On the southern edge of the Peak District near Waterhouses in Staffordshire, about 20 minutes from Ashbourne, Leek and Alton Towers, and within about 90 minutes of Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and Sheffield.
Can we add day guests?
Yes. Day guests are welcome at £25 per person, and they need to leave by midnight.
